The NATO maritime exercise, called “Brilliant Mariner”, in the Mediterranean Sea was conducted in collaboration with the exercise “Mare Aperto” of the Italian Navy.
The warships have participated in training evolutions that could enable, in case of real danger, to respond to crisis situations anywhere in the world.
More than a thousand soldiers were deployed for this exercise between the coasts of Sardinia and those of Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
